PETER S. DICKINSON joined the firm in 1994 after clerking for the Honorable Magistrate-Judge Ronald W. Rose of the United States Central District Court of California from 1988-1989 and representing construction trust funds with Jett & Laquer from 1989 to 1994. He has been a partner since 1997. Mr. Dickinson specializes in the representation of public and private sector trust funds through advice, strategic planning, collection and compliance services.
Through representing Taft-Hartley trust funds, Mr. Dickinson has protected participant rights in the rapidly changing employee benefits field. He is currently litigating multi-million dollar claims in the advertising industry over disputes concerning the rights of actors to their benefits under the Screen Actors Guild Commercial Contract. In the regulatory field, Mr. Dickinson is developing models to protect the health care needs of retirees in the construction and public sector through union sponsored trust funds, and handles the compliance needs for large and small pension and health funds.
